J.Addo is an Afrobeats and RnB musician from Silver Spring, MD also by way of Ghana In West Africa. J.Addo is one of the most sought-after artists in the DMV area. He has been taking his career by the horns and continuing to grow his fanbase. He was recently awarded the State of Maryland’s Governor Citation by Governor Wes Moore, as well as awarded recognition and a certificate from the Maryland County Executive Marc Elrich Office for his impact on the youth and communities in Montgomery County, MD.
Addo has been making music since 2010 but reestablished himself as an artist in 2019 after he completed college. Since then, he has been seen on several television networks and publications. J.Addo's talents have earned him a strong local and international fan base, the likes of which help him sell-out live performances in Washington D.C. Addo's desire is to create an AfroBeat culture infused with RnB rhythms and styles.
Addo's most recent album “A Time For Everything" was released in May 2023 and has landed him a Live Fox 5 Good Day DC performance and interview, a live performance set at DC government’s kick-off event, a performance set at Smithsonian Zoo’s Panda Palooza, a premier local artist spotlight and performance with the NBA’s Washington Wizards, and a half-time performance at the WNBA’s Washington Mystics game. His latest project was an EP released in October 2024, To Those Who Still Love R&B. He has garnished over 1.5 million views on YouTube for his featured videos from several of his releases. His single "Shake" from the album has been in rotation on Ghana's music television networks, 3rd TV and more.
